Anne-Marie Angelo

Anne-Marie Angelo is a screenwriter and a historian of the modern US, UK, and Middle East. She has worked as a writer and historical consultant to develop series for Warner, HBO, and Viaplay. She co-wrote the series concept and led historical research for a period dramedy series that was awarded High-End Series Drama Development Funding by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg. She has also provided historical consulting and polished scripts for companies including Netflix, ITV, Sky Deutschland, Kudos, X Filme, ReInvent Studios, H&V Entertainment, and Ziegler Film. Once upon a time, she worked in production for THE COLBERT REPORT on Comedy Central US. Anne-Marie earned her Ph.D. from Duke University, and she is on the faculty of the University of Sussex in Brighton, England. She is a graduate of Serial Eyes, the first European postgraduate training programme for television series writers, held at the German Film and Television School (DFFB) in Berlin. She now serves on the Serial Eyes admissions committee. She is a citizen of the US, Italy, and the UK,, and she speaks Arabic and English.
